The last night of our time in Guatemala, Pedro's cousin, Lillian del Carmen, helped calm a very fussy Bino by dancing and singing to him a Phillip Glass number, the lyrics of which are produced in their entirety in the title of this blog post. Now that Lillian isn't here to help, Pedro and I still sometimes sing this tune to Bino when he gets fussy. The repetition of numbers is like an incantation, and it can stop Bino in his tracks-- even when he's in the back seat of the car by himself.
